Banditori
street vendors contemporary club culture (Ita)
Banditori is the project of Alessandro D’Alessandro (prepared diatonic accordion) and Ghiaccioli e Branzini (electronics, sampling, drum programming): a tightly woven dialogue between Italian tradition and contemporary club culture.
The concept springs from the cries of street vendors, the sonic heritage of yesterday’s markets, reworked as living material within hypnotic grooves, analog synths and rhythmic textures that verge on trance. The accordion becomes an expanded, filtered, electrified instrument; the electronics carve soundscapes for both the dancefloor and deep listening.
The result is a high-intensity live show that balances research and immediacy, with a musical dramaturgy in constant evolution.
Banditori brings a sound that is both rooted and transnational, connecting diverse audiences through rhythm, voice and writing that reimagines folk repertoire without nostalgia. It’s a journey where archaic Italy meets today’s electronics, turning tradition into a shared language.
