What happens when a pop sax legend like John Helliwell (in the “classic” Supertramp line-up) join a band with super drummer Paul Wertico (anyone never heard Pat Metheny Group from ‘83 till ‘01…on the drum there was Mr Wertico) and three of the best italian jazz musicians…? The result is a band with a common sense of interplay, wth no particular frontiers, a musical journey into their long and different experiences with a spiritual connection…
carrie rodriguez (USA)
Love and family have always been sources of inspiration for critically acclaimed singer/ songwriter/musician Carrie Rodriguez. Rodriguez’ journey from teenage violin student to touring the world with the likes of Chip Taylor (famed songwriter of “Wild Thing), Lucinda Williams and Alejandro Escovedo, has resulted in a prodigious output of recordings – eight albums in as many years – for the young musician; with the new album, Carrie relies on others to handle the songwriting duties, she provides the interpretations.

General Stratocuster were born in Florence, Italy, after an everlasting jam on Fabio Fabbri’s birthday. Though everyone of them has been in the record business for years they all agreed in forming a new band: GENERAL STRATOCUSTER. Their debut album was recorded over last year and it’s the best selection of songs they have been written together with the inclusion of Creedence’s hit ‘Fortunate Son’. After the recordings Pacio was permanently recruited into the band…If you are looking for classic rock, this is THE BAND for you.
danny bronzini trio (ITA)
Young, very young (17 years old!!!), talented guitarist with a soulful voice Danny Bronzini is the new guitar-hero that is becoming each day more famous. He’s a guy that could be growe up in the USA for the knowledge of blues and music. His trio is the classic ‘organ sound’ trio, with a repertoire of old and new classics, not only blues but funk, jazz and soul too.
lewis floyd henry (UK)
The incomparable Lewis Floyd Henry is just such a dude. In the age when MySpace and the blogosphere have become the conventional means of achieving rock stardom, this remarkable songwriter and performer has gone the ancient route of taking to the streets to broadcast his music. For the past few years, like a Mississippi bluesman in the early 20th century, Lewis has pitched up on street corners around London, at Brick Lane, Borough Market and the South Bank, every time trousering a pocket full of loose change, but also gradually spreading the knowledge of his extraordinary genius.
alessandro j.j. corsi blues band a.k.a. dinosauri del blues (ITA)
Not only in England or Usa there are “working blues-man” like John Mayall or Alexis Corner. Alessandro Corsi, if born earlier and in a different country, could has become one like them. For years, and still now, he has been the “main character” of most of Blues (and rock) Jam Session in many clubs of Pisa area, giving to the musicians and audience what really they deserve from music… Don’t miss him!
paola donzella (ITA)
Cotton Club style vocalist Paola Donzella (from Tenco’s award winners Elixir) in concert amd preview of her next album. A new work full of international music stars, with new and old sounds blended together with her way of singign so “french-swingy-jazzy” that made become her famous. Dancer, ex actress seems to be come out from a New York night club of the the Prohibition era.
mascarimirì (ITA)
From Apulia (Salento) the land of Pizzica an Taranta the Mascarimirì are the real new-thing on the tradition. Their sound is a metling pot between the ancient salento’s tradition and the new electronic sounds created by a laptop computer. Rythm and melodic voices blended with distorted rock guitars and mandolini, tamburelli, flutes, acoustic guitars. Is the new form the ancient.
whisky trail feat giulia lorimer (ITA USA)
Whisky Trail was born in Florence in 1975. Has produced 12 records; the last one: Beginnings, in occasion of their 35 years of activity. Has played extensively in Italy and abroad (Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Portugal). Has been favourably written up in many important foreign and Italian musical events. Appeared in Television shows at RAI and Tmc. Has performed in important festivals of ethnic music and in the main Italian folk studios. Its music has been used as sound track for TV documentaries. Has been part of international compilations: the last being Celtic Angels by Amiata Records together with The Chieftains, Sinead O’Connor, Liam O’ Flynn and Sharon Shannon
jonathan kreisberg quartet (USA)
Born in New York City, guitarist and composer Jonathan Kreisberg has fond memories of a childhood steeped in music. “I was lucky to grow up in a household that had a great and wide-ranging record collection,” he recalls, “including Coltrane’s My Favorite Things, and Cream’s Disraeli Gears.” Jonathan worked in the bands of many jazz greats including Lee Konitz, Joe Locke, Dr. Lonnie Smith. He has also led groups of various instrumentations featuring artists such as Bill Stewart, Larry Grenadier, and Scott Wendholt.

T-Rumors (“T” is Tuscany) is a well know music contets for young singers, composers, musicians organized by Toscana Musiche Association and Tuscany Region. This second edition let discover a reality aof very talented musicians. This special event/concert will show four of them, the ones that won the 2011/2012 contest and took part of T-Rumors compilation. There’s so much good music around us taht we do not still know!

IOSONOUNCANE a.k.a. Jacopo Incani, is a Sardinian artist. A particular artist. In his concerts use the voice like an instrument with lots of effects, loop, electronic percussions, acoustic guitars. All instruments are low budget…His story is the story of many italian young workers, that live their condition with irony and the right sense of humor. He has worked in a call center, and , maybe there, eas born most of their ideas. This will be a particular concert. Guaranteed.

le vent du nord (CAN)
Since its inception in August 2002, Le Vent du Nord have been enjoying rocketing success. They have received several prestigious awards, including a Juno. The band is now one of the most-loved Quebec folk outfits throughout the world. The group’s current line-up consists of singers / multi-instrumentalists Nicolas Boulerice, Simon Beaudry, Olivier Demers, and Réjean Brunet. Some of their songs come from traditional folk repertoire, while others are original compositions. On stage, these four friends achieve peaks of happiness they eagerly share with any and all audiences.

His last CD is a long dreamy journey through his land, Tuscany, painted with Rhythm & Blues and Gypsy melodies. Original song and old melodies are performed with a new oldfashioned flavour
ana karina rossi trio (URU)
Ana Karina Rossi was born in Montevideo, Uruguay where she began to develop a passion for music from a very early age. She studied Piano and Musicology at the Escuela Universitaria de Música and entered the world of tango with Trio Sur. Ana Karina then collaborated with pianist and composer Alberto Magnone, giving the jazz-tango scene within Montevideo a refined repertoire of contemporary tangos written by Magnone, along with a large body of Astor Piazzolla’s avant-garde work.

Alabastro Euforico is the new project of italian bass player and comnposer Arlo Bigazzi with the “acrobatic” Antonio Superpippo Gabellini on guitar Marzio del Testa on drums & Vittorio Catalano on saxes. Minimalism, rock and classical music blended together ond the new collaboration with indie-rock band Tom Violence. The Griot Metropolitain is a project born in 1994 thanks to some artists (percussionist and dancer) coming from Ivory Coast with the help of some italian musicians. They belong to differents ethnic group and traditions, but just this diversity will become their trade-mark, creating a really varied and traditional show. The power and vitality of ancient rituals from north-west Africa to the mopdern european audience…

taberna vinaria (ITA)
Taberna Vinaria in the past was the place where people meet together to drink wine, eat, play cards and dice, like “Osteria” of modern times. The Taberna Vinaria sound is very similar to bands like Gogol Bordello, Pogues and Dropkick Murphys. They play something like a folk/punk/rock created by bagpipes, bouzouki, electric guitar, drum in a melting-pot between folk punk and medieval tunes with a rock attitude

The show displays a path through sounds and shapes of the Gypsy traditions crossing Europe: Hungarian Czardas, Valse Musette, Swing, Romanian Hora,Albanian songs and many others. This heterogeneous musical landscape extending from France to the Balkans up to the countries of Eastern Europe through Alsace, former Yugoslavia, Albania, Serbia, Romania, is blended into a sound typical of the swing manouche French as a tribute to the musician Django Reinhardt and his Folk, the Gypsies, unique witnesses of the extraordinary variety and richness of musical languages animating European culture.
