The Original Kocani Orkestar is one of the most innovative brass bands in the Balkans. Originating from the town of Kočani (Kochani) in the Republic of Macedonia,

the musicians of the Kocani Orkestar have lived through many changes in the composition of the band, but on this occasion it’s an original version built around the former leader and virtuoso trumpeter, King Naat Veliov, a celebrity in his country, above all since Emir Kusturica entrusted part of the music for his film The Time Of The Gipsies to him, bringing him international renown and awaking a growing interest in his music, ensuring the international recognition of Macedonian music.
