
Vesevo is the ancient name of Vesuvius, the famous still active volcano near Naples. Vesevo is now also a new musical project with the purpose to give a new life to the musical traditions of Southern Italy.
This project was developed by three musicians expert of Neapolitan traditional music. Antonio Fraioli, a violinist and experienced world music arranger, founder of “Spaccanapoli”, Francescopaolo Manna eclectic percussionist and Antonio Di Ponte, guitarist and singer with a particular, powerful and authentically traditional voice. In July 2017 they will attend Womad, the famous world music festival founded by Peter Gabriel.
