XIXA tune in the wild frequency of the Sonoran desert, in glittering, gritty rock’n roll twin lead-guitars blended with psychedelic cumbia.

The band hails from the always-flourishing Tucson indie-rock scene where Brian Lopez, Gabriel Sullivan and legendary drummer Winston Watson are also members of the last acclaimed incarnation of Giant Sand and have international credits with the likes of KT Tunstall, Sergio Mendoza, X’s John Doe, Calexico, and even Dylan and Alice Cooper. Tucson’s cumbia-psych-rock outfit have been steadily touring since the album’s release in February 2016, between SXSW’s Levitation and Globalfest appearances, Amsterdam’s Paradiso, Brussels’ Botanique, club and festival shows all over Europe and the US.
